Feeling very pleased with myself, staying positive and not moping which I think was my downfall on previous attempts.
Weekend mornings are not easy, they were spent watching soaps whilst getting ready and smoking 5/6 fags without even thinking about it. Just changing routine a bit helps, watched tv in bed for a bit and then straight to bathroom to get ready rather than sitting around.
Having a few moments but they dont last too long, discovered Sainsburys white chocolate with raspberries - may become my new addiction!!
Stay strong day fivers x

I'm begining to think the weekends are harder cause the routine is not as structured so harder to overcome! It can only get easier after the first weekend day though, so hopefully today will be easier, and next weekend at least we know what to expect!
You've really made me want white chocolate now though!
Think bubbielau has hit the nail on the head about the lessening of structure at the weekend. The weekend is our reward for working our butts off through the week. But the nicodemon/psychology plays with our heads and can bring temptation to the unwary. Plan exit strategies and contingencies for the difficult periods and you'll soon develop a new healthier habit.
Keep on keepin' on

PS: yes to the white choc and raspberries - off to Sainsbury's. Will make a change from Tangfantastics....no, not a change, an addition
Bloody well done on your 5 day quit and just keep going now. Like you and when I stopped I found one of the worst times for me was after I got out of bed and switched the kettle on as I could have a cig smoked before the kettle was boiled, so after advice from many people on this site I decided to change my routine,by getting out of bed and Shower, shave, and then kettle on and while it was boiling I was starting to wash the dirty dishes. I completely changed my whole routine all day, particularly at the times I would normally smoke a cigarette.

Have you had a look under 'Day Two' yet Pat, there might be someone there also on day 2 although I tend to jump around and read what looks interesting/useful regardless of whether it's day 1 or year 1
Good luck with your quit. I am 5 days in and everyone has been great and it gives you a boast to know you are not on your own. I am on the 24 hour patches too. I was also using the inhalator but found I havent needed it today. I
Get me, just been for a jog/fast walk, 5 miles and 780 cals burned. That should hopefully go towards the roast beef and yorkshire pud at lunch. Unbelievably a car went by when we were jogging and I could smell the fags - its was awful - must be a good sign eh
