Been reading posts here for about an hour .. my partner is away and I have had a pretty rough day at work .. day 15 and I am pretty positive still about my quit and .... here is my demon doing it's best ...at lunch time I was looking for some loose change in my car rummaging around in the pockets of my car door because "dizzy me" left my purse at home and I saw a cigarette well a broken one but enough! I totally dissed it then .. but I keep seeing it in my mind .. I keep saying to myself well just go and smoke it and be done with it .. half a cigarette now? what good would that do? I'd need at least two whole packets of 20 to "fill me up" after this length of time? ... this monster never gives up - stay strong all xx

Oh that blooming demon, he does try his best doesn't he

Well done to you though hun for not giving in!!

Like i have quoted you... what good would half a cig do?? All it would do is make you want more and then feel guilty!

I have tobacco around me everyday as hubby still smokes, so many times i have looked at the baccy and thought "just one puff wont hurt" but i know too well it does hurt! I know that one puff will lead to more puffs and i really dont want to go down that road again!

Well done again for staying strong... YOU CAN DO THIS!!

Snowie xx

Thank you Snowie ... I think I would have given in if I had the temptation around me all time .. it must be doubly difficult when your partner still smokes - so pleased I took the decision to get rid of my "smoking kit" ie. packet of 20 and a lighter! I think an early night will get me out of this predicament! thanks again Shelly xx

I came across a cigerette in the drawer after about 6 weeks quit. Sooo hard looking at it and thinking that no-one would know if I smoked it, but i smashed it into bits and threw it in the bin. After all I'd know wouldn't I, not worth it, so well done you for staying strong and not smoking it.
