The time since my last cigarette seems to pass quicker and quicker now. I do still think about smoking and sometimes find that I fancy one, but it is so ridiculously easy to say no and I find that even the smell of a freshly lit cigarette isn't enough to tempt me these days!
When I first quit smoking I always said that if I only smoked socially I wouldn't have bothered stopping, but I've definately changed my tune now. Even if I could guarantee that I wouldn't become addicted like before, I'm really not into the smell and taste (and expense!!) of smoking. The thought of putting one in my mouth and lighting up is enough to keep Nasty Nic from hanging around. Woop!!
As always I have you wonderful people to thank for getting me through the first three months or so. Those first days are really the ones that have set me up for the rest of my life, so thank you all! Xxx

Just get the first 8-12 weeks out of the way,or whatever needed for the individual to make this breakthrough. You drove through the blockage by showing all the right qualities and made it into that luscious clear blue water beyond.
Congrats Sarah Lou x
Thanks Max And how are you?
Yes I agree. Each individual has their own period of time when being a non-smoker really seems impossible (mine was around the 8-10 week mark), but once you've got your head in the right place it starts to feel good! xxx

Well done Sarah-Lou. It's brilliant to hear you sounding so positive too!! I'm about 2 months behind you, so it's great to get an idea of what's to come - especially when it sounds so good!!!!
Thank you all so much Your support has helped me through those rotten times that we all have to experience!
Kat, don't you worry, I intend to be here for that day when I can shout "I've made it to the penthouse!". I may not visit as much as I'd like but I want to be able to pass on some of that wisdom that has been given to me by other quitters!
We can all get rid of Nasty Nic and I just hope that my positive attitude will encourage friends and family to really think about stopping! xxx
