Understanding ADDICTION

One of the things I learned about addiction after having already stopped smoking, and by reading a stop-smoking book by Kristina Ivings (forget the name of the book) was the fact that:

"The only reason you want it is to stop wanting it!"

I think that's a pretty compelling argument. Wish I could have been as smart as to come up with that one.

Michael.

Havent read it all but this is the book and the quote.

Free Yourself From Smoking by Kristina Ivings

Wanting to stop smoking does not stop you wanting to smoke!

No matter how excellent your reasons for stopping are, they don’t stop you wanting to smoke the next cigarette.
