As some of you may be aware, I've been struggling a bit over the past week or so with lethargy and depression and it's really been getting me down. I haven't broken my quit though :).
Thank you to everyone who offered suggestions and support. I took it all on board, mulled it over, and I bought myself a S.A.D. light, some multivitamins, and some St John's Wort.
It might only be a placebo effect but I actually feel a bit brighter this morning. I hope this continues!!
Good luck with your quits everyone. Deciding to do this is one of the best life decisions you'll ever make!!

Good on you Ed. Glad you are feeling a bit brighter. You have gone through the toughest bit of your quit and you have come through the other side without smoking. What does that tell you?? That you don't need the cigs to get through it as you will come through it without them

Oh Ed
I am Sooooooooooooooooooo pleased that these things are starting to help you feel better and brighter. May the "LIGHT FORCE" be with you and Ed, keep up the good work.
Sorry that you've had a rough few days Ed, glad you're feeling brighter hun. You're a trooper hun, and alot of people here are rooting for you. Proud of you for coming through this rough patch without lighting up xx
It's only a minor improvement so far but fingers crossed it'll grow. Thankfully I'm not having to deal with major cravings as well as that would surely have pushed me over the edge . I'm only really getting "it'd be nice to have a cig" rather than "I absolutely have to have a cig". Keeping strong and vigilant though :). I know from experience that a major urge can spring up from nowhere. I'm ready for it!!!
I'm two days behind you and doing mostly OK. Like you I can't believe I've actually made it this far!! Here's to a smoke-free rest of our lives!!

TERRI
Hi Terri,
Still here hun :). Haven't caved, and the gloom's lifting bit by bit. I'm quietly confident about this quit!!
I am doing fine I think, still ling for a smoke but the urge is not MUST have.
I think one of the key elements is trying to do something total new this has helped me no end, kept me occupied and taskes me into situations that have no association with smoking.Yes,I have put on weight but will tackle that as I put on weight when I was smoking.I cannot beleive that I have come so far.take strenght.terri
You're doing great Terri :). You're absolutely right not to worry about any weight at the moment. Get totally comfortable with your quit where it's completely automatic first. You don't need the extra stress just now!!
