Well day 28 today, and one calendar month on Sunday, so figured would hope in here! All going well, not having any real cravings now, just occasional thoughts, which is nice.
I am however having extremely weird and vivid dreams - not sure if this is related to quitting or just my sick imagination!!
Last night I dreamt I was having affairs with David Cameron and Nick Clegg :(:(:eek:
It was distrubingly vivid and I woke up as (in the dream) we were being 'outed' at a massive conference, and I was completely freaked out! WTF!!!
Am scared to go to sleep tonight now!

This is a link for Kalms tablets that actually work, they are all natural and you can get lozenges too. They do help to relax you and are not addictive. I have used them before, let us know how you get on hun.
Welcome to Month 2 Genes. And congratulations on making it this far!!
Scary dream though . I'm sure there must be worse you could have but I can't think of any just now :p.
So glad you're only having occasional thoughts of smoking now. Keep strong and focussed, ignore the weird dreams :p, and you'll be in Month 3 and beyond before you know it.
Karen at least it is not just me! Seriously though, even the actual 'fun' bits of the dream were ruined as we kept getting caught! I don't think I will ever feel quite the same again!
I think Gavin Henson is actually worse than mine, personally!
Just makes you wonder what goes on in the brain doesn't it? I mean I like older, intelligent men, but two at a time???!!! Maybe there is a political metaphor in there lol!
Having said that I went through a stage a few years ago where I had erotic dreams about Simon Cowell EVERY night for about a month, tried everything to stop that lol. My OH at the time was very disturbed :D:rolleyes:
Well, the good news is I managed to sleep soundly last night without any dreams that I can recall!
Tomorrow will be one calendar month for me, so pretty pleased. Now if only I can get my visa sorted I will be one happy camper. As usual the information I need will be coming in at the last minute (as the person who is so desperate for me to have it sorted by a specific date is the very same person who has failed to get the necessary information they have to me  ). I just hope at this time of year there is not too much of a wait for a visa appointment!
Have the house to myself now for 3 weeks as parents in South Africa. Been going through all the toys this morning to attempt to organise and figure out how many suitcases will be required if return to states before Christmas! It is amazing how much stuff accumulates in 18 months.
Quit going fine, I think I am so busy with everything else it helps. Was shopping two days ago, and noticed the evil looks the smoker huddled in front of the door to keep out of the rain were getting from the general public - so glad I am no longer the recipient of the hate! Plus the smell was awful. I do wonder if it smells worse to ex-smokers than never-have smoked, as otherwise I cannot comprehend how my friends who never smoked could tolerate being around me :confused:

Hi Genes,
Yes I dop think it is worse to us as ex smokers than it is to someone who has never smoked. As a smoker I always found ex smokers my biggest critic and always moaned the most about it. They seem to have forgotten that they to were once addicited.
As for your dreams, you are not alone, I have had some really odd ones. I woke up at 6am one morning giggling to myself about what was happening in my dream. I dreamt that my friend was in a remote control rollercoaster and that her car had driven into some water and she was sinking. She also had this really huge helmet on and I was laughing so hard it my dream I woke up and carried on laughing. I have also been having some xrated dreams but nothing to do with politicians lol.

True, plus I know quite a few never-have's who like the smell, but no ex-smokers who still do!
And I do think ex-smokers have a habit of being far worse critics than never-haves. It is something I am going to try and avoid, no one who quit going on at me while I smoked helped me, in fact it would drive me out for a smoke! I think the journey is personal for everyone, and if anyone is inspired by you quitting it is purely because they were in the right space to make that decision themselves!
my parents are holidaying there. My dad works there once a year so they go for a holiday at the same time. I am Bristol born and bred (without the accent!). Never been there myself, lived in South America and the USA but never stepped foot on African soil, would love to one day.
