Welcome!

Remember, you're the only one that can talk your self out of it... all we can do is give you the facts! All you have to do is choose to not smoke today, and then tomorrow and then the day after :)

Well done on starting your quit.

I guess your right. I've tried to quit once before and it lasted 6 months. Just decided i fancied one, and didnt talk myself out of it then. Hm.

Hi Squiffle,

Well done on making the decision to be free from the evils of smoking.

Like you, I quit for six months (four years back) a stupid drunken "only one" moment and that was it. Within a month I was back on 20-a-day, then before I knew it I was buying two packs a day.

I'm determined that this time, that's it. I hope you get through it too.

Good luck and come on here if you need to vent. Everyone is great about it, we are all going through or have gone through the same thing.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

It has been said on here before but it is worth repeating, when you feel like a fag come on to the forum and post, then you have to wait for at least 5 replies, when have had those you can then choose what to do.

Take one day at a time, the main thing is that you choose not to smoke today, worry about it tomorrow when tomorrow comes.

Read loads, the links will really help. Post often. Drink loads of water.

Stay strong, you can do this.

Hi,

Can't really add anything that everyone else hasn't already said.

You have done this before so you know what it is like. Keep busy, when you get a craving distract yourself, and come one here loads. Not only does it help you it helps us to.

Hope you have a great day.
