Just to let everone know Am up today 11 days smoke free ,Yes.
Can't say it has been easy, but not all bad.
Yesterday went for a meal and realized I would be in a hurry to finish just to get outside for a cig.
Also today when on my daily walk I began to speed up towards home, Hang on a minute I though why am I in such of a hurry yes, you have guess for a cig.
Oh course I did not be weid what a hold a habit has over you.
Well good luck to all those who have got this far and are just setting out.
I am pleased with myself, but so easy to have a cig again.

Well done Terri!! Great achievement!
I know what you mean about setting aside cig time. I'm doing that too even though I don't smoke any more :D.
Hope it's going well for you I think your a day ahead of me am I right .

Yep, I'm on day 12 and going mostly very well. I have tough moments but I'm powering through them :). The thought of going through the first few days again is enough incentive!! I'm using patches so I'm still putting nicotine into my system, but the 'nipping off for a cig' mentality is weakening. I think my next major challenge will be in four weeks' time when I step down to lower yield patches.
How's things going for you Terri? I admire you going CT. I don't think I'd have the fortitude to quit the addiction AND the habit at the same time.
Thanks for all the support I do really appreciate it.Support sort of keeps you going.
Captain, Cant say it has been easy but in reality if I had have used patches I feel it would not make me feel as though I had got of nicotine.
One day at the time.
I am in no smoking house so that helps.Last time I gave up it was when a friend came to stay I lapsed not this time I hope.
Keep going every one.
Terri
I'm finding this forum invaluable Terri. Even if I don't post, there's always useful tips and reminders to keep me going.
Keep strong. You're doing great!! It doesn't matter how we make the journey. The important thing is to arrive safely :). If your way's working for you, then that's all that matters.
