6 month milestone reached

I have, as of today reached 6 months smoke free. I am absolutely over the moon, my OH will do the same in two days time. I most certainly wouldn't have done this without him I am sure, and I sincerely thank him for that cos he didn't plan on giving up. Seems such a long time ago now, but on the other hand the time seems to have flown by.

Don't think about smoking now, not in an "I want one" sort of way, and when I see people smoking I am just so sincerely glad to be out of it.

It's the most difficult thing I have done through my own choice. I have had harder challenges, but not through choice, so it's a real personal achievement for me and I cannot even begin to explain what a difference it has made to my own self confidence.

Many, many thanks to this forum, I don't use it as comprehensively as some but reading about peoples experiences has been a HUGE help in understanding the addiction and beating it.

Feeling quite emotional so this is a good time to stop.

Cheers all,

Lorraine x

6 months is a great milestone to have reached...imagine, 1/2 a year. How impossible that would've seemed before. But yet you are here and reaping the rewards of it.
