Tao 6 - Nicodemon Nil

Well this is now 6 smokeless days and the nicodemon has barely had the ball despite holding possession for the last 22 years.

Half time is now up on the 6th day, let's see how things shape up for the remainder of the game.

And James is now into the game big time and for the first time in 22 years he has taken control of this game, also looks like he is going for the hat trick, no weight gain, no nicotine and no smoking.

Let’s hope that the weather stays fine and that he can kick the nicco demon into touch well and truly, they thought it was all over but smoke free James is now going to show them it’s not and that there is plenty of tricks up his sleeve to make sure he has the final penalty

Just finishing day 5 - had a few pangs today, drinking in the sunshine, but they weren't so bad.

That's great Zena.. keep it up. I think i'm starting to get a little jealous of you. You seem to be handling things better than me. I've been having very strong cravings today which started pretty much from the moment i woke up. It will be another trying day for me... i haven't had an easy day yet.

Having more incredibly strong cravings just now. But it's weird, i really don't want to smoke but the nicodemon is screaming out for his nicotine and making me feel bad. I don't want it so i've got him beat but why oh why do i have to feel like this???

Anway! I'm nearly done with day 6... that's full time.

You feel like that because you allowed your body to become addicted to a very powerful drug that is not as easy as we all thought it would be to come off it, hang in there you will get through it and most of the problems when quitting are to do with the way we approach the quit i.e. how you allow your mind to handle it, be smug and tell yourself and others how great you are to have quit, because my friend you are and you just need to keep reminding yourself this, Day 7 ONE FULL WEEK onto week 2 now so off you go and move rooms and will see you tomorrow just keep focussed on your quit and remember the water and fresh air xx

Hi again James, just remember smokers that find it hard to give up are likely to stay off the cigarettes. My problem is I sail though the first few days (when I am not in the company of smokers!), then go back to work and rugby tackle the first smoker I see, ready to sell my soul for a cigarette!

Not this time though, this time I am going to take the great advice I have been given here and also hide under my desk for two days
