I think you've definitely got a great quit going here now, once you managed the stress from the job more, your quit stabilised just nicely.

Well done you!!!!!!!!! Glad to see this!

I am very happy to have got here- i thought i never would as i spent about a year and a half lapsing and not even getting off the patches. For me it was always if i managed to get to say three moinths i knew i'd crack it, and i know that i have now. I have to admit there were a couple of "one cigarette slips" in this six months , so maybe the purists would say i shouldn't really be here, but they didn't start me smoking again, and i realise they were foolish.

Will not go there again.

Jodi ,it feels great. I hardly think of ciggies- I never "want " one now.I feel pretty darn sure i will never smoke again.

MAH, Jase, KK and Trev -you all remember me when i was stopping, starting and having a few and giving up and generally trying to hang on to some part of my smoking habit......So I'm really pleased i have got here with everyones help. Anyone who is struggling in the early days, just hold on. IT IS hard then , but if you can hang on the further you get from the last one the easier it gets everyday. I never thought i could do this!

Well Done again Jude ... I admire you all the more for hearing how tough it has been for you and you have still plodded on (even with axxxole bosses etc!)... it has been sooo hard for me at times but you have given me the faith I need .. thanks sooooo much!

Only us guys on here (and the other quitters in the world that haven't discovered this great site yet!) will truly understand what a huge thing we are all doing, how bloody hard it is and how much shared admiration and genuine support we have for each other ... coz we all know we are blxody wonderful for what we are doing!!!!!!!!!!

Here's to "never smoking again"

Hey Jude :)

Brilliant news on the 6 months quit target.

A crap boss and then no crap boss (how funny it would be to hear he came back on a vist and, being a pain in the arse, you ended up telling him to feck off ) , partial camping hol and any triggers to reduce you to falling off the smoke free wagon have not weakened your resolve.

Go you :D Have a great fest

Hi Jude

sorry eff knows how i missed this ....well done considering what you have been through the last six months or so and still quit you should have a special medal pinned on you well done Jude ....prooving once again how strong you are ... i would have punched him by now and had a fag on the way home ..good for you Jude, Penthouse not far away :)

Hey Jude .. to second Bradders .. I would have punched him too by now.

But look on the bright side you have become an ex-smoker - doubt your boss will ever become an ex-arxehole!!!! And you smoking again certainly wouldn't help .. would just turn him into a smug arxehole ... whichever way you look at it he remains forever an a............ !!!!!!!!!!!!!

6 months, i'd say it's a proper quit, a proper good one. Complete respect to you for sticking with this through everything that has been thrown at you along the way.

You have plenty to be proud of, you're a very strong lady.

Lorraine :)
