If you have quit smoking and know some secret to quitting, please share.
I am willing to try anything, but I do live in a remote area and there are no smoking sensation classes around here, so that is the only option I can't try.
I am buying the patches tonight.

Hi Antony,
Welcome to the start of the rest of your life.
You have done the biggest thing and that is deciding to stop smoking. There is no secret but you have to want to quit. Patches will help you get through each day and so will these fantastic people on the forum!
If you get a craving, drink some water and go for a walk. Find something else to distract yourself - exercise, a hobby.
Let your friends and family know what you are doing - their support is key.
I think the patches are a good start but you really need to want to do it. I have tried with patches before but always gone back to smoking. This time is different because i dont want to ever smoke again.
I have read loads about the horrors of smoking. I think about this everytime i get a craving.
I dont want to spend £5 a day anymore on smokes.
I dont want to smell anymore.
I dont want to smoke anymore, so i am not going too. A craving dont last that long, so you can do it. Think of a day at a time and count the days too.
Its a great feeling when you go to bed at night and have done another day without smoking.
And you have this forum. We are all in the same boat and will help as much as we can.

oh yeah, there would have been posts with 50 pages of nonsense all posted by her
It would of been all 'blah blah blah blah blah blah I think you should do this blah blah blah blah My ways the best blah blah blah blah blah don't listen to anyone else but me blah blah blah blah I gonna report you for having an opinion different to mine! blah blah blah':D
Wonder how she reported you as  'That Boudee, she's like, not agreeing with me and that's not on! Ban her now or I'm going to tell on you all! '
This could be 'swimming with dolphins versus'swimming with giant turtles' Although I will repeat that I was on 'le petit Tabac' the very island that Johnny Depp and Keira Knightly were marooned on in 'pirates of the carribean'n sweetie!
