I know it's easy for me to say, but keep on, struggling if you have to. On day six, which is great. My first week was the best ever feeling of my quit. Year today now, but I dont think anything will replace that feeling when it came to me that I could stop smoking. We have all been where you are now (some without the sickness) and it really is worth it to get through it, just a day at a time and when you get further along the line don't forget these days. David
great to get to day 6! sorry about the nausea and cravings. I have cravings today too, but no nausea from the morning Champix today fortunately. I hope you feel better soon.
Ok, had a very busy morning at work and kept popping on here, but although the nausea has gone the cravings, since lunch, seem to be getting worse. A thought just popped into my head that I could "borrow a fag from Sarah" I didn't.
I am hoping that by typing this on here it may help get it out of my system a bit.
If I can get through today then one more day that's a full week. Must keep going, this will pass soon.
Good for you, that nasty old Nicodemon is just sitting on your shoulder waiting for a moment of weakness then it will pounce. Keep strong and keep posting. David
Thank goodness day 6 is over. I honestly didn't think I was going to get through it without caving in. OH went out so I had a shower at 7 and put my nightie on, that way I would have to think carefully before I got dressed to go to the shop. I rang my sister (she has been stopped 11 months) who give me some much needed support and .............
you do have bad days, but then you have a good one and wonder what the fuss was about!!! The first two weeks are a bit up and down, but i think in total i have had many more good than bad.
Are you eating immediately before the champix?? I have been taking the tablets for about 4 weeks now, and managed to stop the sicky feeling by eating quite a lot just before taking the tablet. This morning i only had one slice of toast before taking the tablet and then felt a bit sick. Another slice of toast soon cured it!!
I normally have readybrek in the morning and take Champix about an hour after, and I find that the morning nausea doesn't creep up!
I'm also on day 6 and feeling very postive about my quit!
I had an awful weekend, and I am glad that my cravings are at bay... At the moment!
I'm finding this forum really helpful, and it is good to know that other people are going through similar experiences as myself, and it isn't just me feeling how I have been.
