Hi

i had these too during my early days of quit and sometimes now.....think it is just your body changing things healing and things moving .... but if you are worried you should see your doctor who will give you the correct answers .... but great news with your quit keep on going its a long road but worth it all in the end ..sorry for the scaremonger bit but i can only tell you that it happened to me and i am still here thankfully ..... but wish you good luck on your journey to freedom :)

Hi Alx :)

Well done you day 7 now that's great

The chest pains are normal for a lot of us but if they become really bad or last for a too long go see your Dr if only to set your mind at rest

I had them but they only lasted for a couple of days

Below is my standard welcome and advice post which I try and give all new members

Welcome to the forum and well done on the decision to quit possibly one of the most important you will ever make and you will be losing nothing but you will regain control of your life and that has to be good

You will find all the help and support you need on here as we all help each other just like a family we are here for you every step of the way cheering the good days and sympathising with the bad but the good far outweigh the bad

Read the posts on here you will find a lot of tips and advice and in the signatures of a lot you will find links to other sites just click on them Here

are 2 I found very good to start you off whyquit.com and woofmang.com

Read, read and then read some more as the more you read and learn about why you smoked and about your addiction the easier your quit will be

This link is good for the psychological part of quitting whyquit.com/whyquit/A_Sympt...

Post often to let us know how you're doing, to rant, rave have a moan whatever you like pretty much anything goes on here OK

Love

Marg

I have the chest pains too pretty much from the off. Day 8 and a little less severe so believe it is the healing process. No coughing yet though...

Lets keep it up!

Dam this day has been a hell for me

I get one craving after the other , the one stronger than the other

I am at the office and I see the people having cigarette brakes , some when they realize I quit smoking they discourage me telling me that It is impossible and non of the people they know managed to quit.

But I manage to hold It

Today It will be a smokeless day that's my commitment to my self!

The fact that I know there's more people out there that are fighting It like me makes It much easier.

But they all wish that they could quit Alx and not have to stand out in the cold, so keep your own commitment and be strong.

I too will remain smokeless today....tomorrow will be my day 9 and I have a whole day driving and training. That day will also be a smokeless day.

One step at a time eh!
