Day 12 and I don't have a patch on today. I had a long lie, and my routine is all out so was lunch time before I remembered. The patches are leaving me with angry red marks all over my arms (even moving to fresh skin!) so gonna try to do this without the patches.
Am I stupid to try? I don't feel like it's cold turkey as this is the longest I've gone with out smoking in 19 years (voluntarily).

the rage started late this afternoon Just realised how addicted to nicotine I must be... so rather than completely screw up the past two weeks hard work I've relented and put another patch on. Resolved myself to the fact that the no-one can see my arms as they're covered up just now cos it's so cold.
I feel disappointed in myself but at least I didn't think about having a ciggie - was too busy looking for a victim to vent my anger on
I did similar the other day, forgot to take a champix tablet, and the rage started. Other people find cold turkey easy, i for one know i don't have enough willpower - but well done for trying!!
I do the same, every other day I think I'm gonna give up on the NRT and then use it again- I think of it as guilt free lapsing. I'd love to be able to say I cold turkeyed it, but at the same time- the key is we're not smoking and that is what matters, the means doesn't matter, not smoking most definitely does- and as long as we're keeping that up, then we're still winning
I was offered a ciggie tonight by someone who didn't realise I'd stopped and it felt so good to say - no thanks, I don't smoke - whoo hoo!!!! (although I did let on that I had my patch on and was furiously chewing my spearmint, tooth whitening gum!)
im going cold turkey and im now on day 11 and really proud of myself but im craving all the time lol. my craves never go away. Im actually worried as iv got no money at the moment and im trying to find things to fill my house with things that i need, to avoid buying cigs. 2mrws pay day! and my bf goes back for 3weeks.:eek::eek:
