Hey guys, I am slightly concerned about me smoking last night. I went out and had quite a few drinks and ended up having half of a cigarette after then throwing it away. I feel bad. Does this mean im back on day 1 now, because that would suck after all the hard work I have put in last week. I still feel fine, and my craving come and go like normal. Im just going to stop drinking for a few weeks, I think that might help. So anyway am i back to square 1..
Many Thanks
Jimmy

hi jimmy no it dosent its just a blip just pick yourself up and keep going might be a good idea to hold back on the booze for a week or so.. makes it easier to fall if you know what i mean
For sure that was a blip and you should regard it in that fashion. Having said that....DON'T DO IT!
When you start on the path of blipping it makes it that much more difficult dealing with the craves and the insidious mind-game that plays in our minds.
Try to thing of diversionery tactics and/or exit strategies for future times, read, and support, trying to strengthen your resolve in regards to not smoking.
I'm so sorry you had that little blip not to be recommmended but I see no reason you cannot just carry on and stay on day 9 but it's your choice
If you go drinking again decide what anount you think you can safely have and stay smoke free then stick yo it and switch to soft drinks
I promise you can enjoy yourself without either booze or fags
