i am doing well. since i have been trying to quit for the last 2 years, i have been through those early days many times. i have relapsed so many times too after quitting for anything from 7 months to a few days...but not this time: siobhan( my partner of 16 years) has also quit yesterday. so no fags in the house and a temptation free environment.

After a number of attempts myself, and a more than the 4 i've listed as they occured before the last 3 years, I got my mindset sorted and you know? its determination and stubbornness that are 2 of your strongest qualities you should bring to the table when quitting.

Determination for the sheer drive, and stubbornness for times of weakness where your guard is down momentarily.

Its great you've both quit at the same time, if either of you starts getting tetchy and irritable on any of the days to come, have a 'safe' area in the house where you (or both) retreat just to calm down. I went to bed for half and hours nap when i got like that, but depends on you both really. Main thing is, recognise if the tetchiness is happening and know its only because of the quitting and its only temporary too.

Keep things in perspective basically :)

best of luck to you both.
