Wow, Danni...bummer.

How do feel about it today? You say you haven't had any today. Where are you at with that?

Of course it's not about the amount of smokes...if you are straight back into your quit having learned an important lesson and adamant that you aren't gonna fall into that trap then 3 should be regarded as a blip. Dust yourself down and get back on the straight and narrow....we are all only human after all and therefore we should cut a little lattitude to ourselves.

Hi Danni :)

Look at it another way in 2 weeks you've had 3 fags so how many haven't you smoked in that time ??

If you're not wanting to smoke today I think you got away with it and can call it a blip and carry on OK

But we careful Danni you might not be so lucky if you do it again and could easily end up right back where you started as a full time smoker

So if the lesson has been learnt then carry on unless you want to go back to day one of course and that has to be your choice of course

Love and a Hug

Me too

Marg, you're a gem. I'm so glad you're on this forum. And Danni, I know how you feel. I'd been going so well all through my first no-smoking week, but Friday night with a few drinks did me in and I smoked about five during the night (which would have been about 15 on a normal drinking / smoking Friday night).

Anyway, it's now Monday morning and I haven't had one since Friday night and surprisingly, didn't even have cravings over the weekend. Decided not to beat myself up - as you say Marg, it was a blip - and I'm determined to keep going. You too Danni - keep it up!

Cheers

Kaz

Hi everyone,

Thanks for all the support :)

Yes i was an idiot saturday night and i felt absolutly shameful the next morning but i think you are all right about focusing on the positives...

I think if i carried on being so hard on myself it would've made it so much easier to light up again,instead..i think i might have learned something from my "blip",i didnt enjoy them..they made me feel physicaly sick, and made me feel even worse the next day...i didnt gain a thing by smoking them...so therefore i'm sure i will be more reluctant to light up again...fingers crossed!

Some people use 1 "blip" as an excuse to take up smoking again, they see it as instant failiure,i'm guilty of that in the past...not this time!

Danni :D
