Just to let you all know I got back to work today after 3 and a half weeks off earning no money. Good to get back in the car with pupils but so weird not smoking.
Yes all the triggers were there but I was ready for them. I knew the times when I would normally smoke at work. I bought some strawberry and cream sweets and had one when I would normally have a cigarette.
All in all great day feeling really good and positive, work again tomorrow weather permitting. Once I get a few days back at work and get into rountine again but without smoking it should be cool.
Thank you one and all
Vivienne my twin where are you? xxxx

Hey Jack, that TV is getting closer and closer now.... Well done u on overcoming all those triggers in one day..... So pleased for you, What a brilliant quit you have going there, 40 Days.....
Thats a bag of strawberry and creams to add to your treat list ha ha ,,,
Hi Kaz, I'll go and do that right away I also bought another bottle of Fanta today.
Sometimes for lunch I have a sausage roll from this home baker in Aberfeldy where I do most of my lessons. It's the first one I've had for a while and oh boy it tasted great, it's amazing what food really tastes like. When I came home my darling wife Donna had pasta in a creamy tomato and bacon pasta bake with sliced hotdog sausages plus garlic bread on the side for dinner. When you smoke you think you can taste food but it's when you don't smoke you realise what you're missing, it was absolutely delicous. There is not a smiley to explain that feeling.
I don't drink Stav so I suppose I have a better chance of quitting than most but I do like my glass of wine specially with a meal for a special occasion.
I intend when I've got some money together again to take my family out for a nice meal to celebrate my not smoking.
I will be definately sharing a bottle of something with them.
I have spen better part of 3 weeks at home and out of routine. called in work fighting through snow last week. I am back in work this week.. had a few pangs but got through it....
i even got my cousin on board. she 54 and never tried to stop and scared but realy wants to stop......
I know what you mean especially when driving you always reach a certain point on your journey and automatically light up, it's bizarre. You obviously done extremely well overcoming this today....
yeah being in a confined space with someone who has just smoked is horrible. I feel really bad about the amount of times i've got on the underground after an entire night smoking and drinking and been right in someones face all crushed in.
must have been pretty horrible for them but i was completely unaware.
My gran was telling me that it used to be legal to smoke on the underground as well. Imagine how disgusting that would be!
"... and when i slap the dashboard... i'm 'avin a really mad craving and beating the crapola outa my car helps alot ta!'
Glad to read you are back working again after the snowy weather.. I wish you well now and into the rest of this year.
Peace and prosperity to you. Well done on your great progress with your quit despite all recent challenges, you've rose above them. Nice going and keep that momentum going.

Hey Sue thanks for that Have to go now boss wants the computer. speak tomorrow.
Thats great news Jack, so pleased to hear you are back at work and getting to grips with the triggers. Congrats on your 40 days, thats fantastic, keep up the good work, you are doing so well.
Your dinner sounds great Jack, making me feel hungry, sounds like Donna is a wonderful cook. What a nice idea to all go out for a meal to celebrate at some point, its so important to have something nice like that to look forward to.
I'm very rarely online during the evening, as I share my computer with my Grandson and its his turn during the evenings, so its quite unusual for me to be online after about 7.00pm.
Hope you are having another good day with your pupils jack and enjoying those strawberry creams, lollys are my thing at the moment, I like the jumbo ones, cherry, bonfire toffee, rhubarb and custard, apple, acid drop etc, yummy! No wonder I've put on over a stone since giving up smoking (pssst dont tell the lardarse group, please!!). Love n hugs, Vivienne. xxxx
40 Days well done!!! Thats amazing news... i remember when i was at 40 days... sometimes it felt a bit tricky... if it is for you then it passes very soon
Keep on going.... looking forward to you popping into month 3!!
True, what a wonderful place this is, I think if many of us had not discovered this forum we would not have made it to where we are now.
For me it's six weeks tomorrow and boy will you all know about it.
I'm not sure I would have got this far without the support I have had on here. Maybe I would have because I was so determind and positive about stopping. But I'm sure all of you have helped me.
So Marg, Jackie, Vivienne and Zozie thanks guys and all the rest of you for your support.
Vivienne it is very hard at work to not smoke. I think once I get into a rountine without smoking and out of the old rountine of smoking at certain times I'll be fine. But if I keep chewing the steering wheel I may have to get a new car and this one is only 4 months old; it's my work baby and office
