It is definitely getting better all the time, which is fab, and any new quitters who see how I've struggled can definitely feel good about that 'cos if *I* can do it (the girl everyone thought could never quit) *you* can!!
So, just got back from Lidl, where it was rammed even though it was early, their delivery was late so everyone was unpacking, and all the walkoffs were out in force
Now the old me would have been properly craving a fag at the checkout, and would have sparked up pushing the trolley across the car park but now? Not going to lie, I did crave but nothing a chomp on some gum and some muttering didn't fix!!
And last night I had an unplanned but fab evening out with the girls from work, couple of them smoke too and amazingly i craved once - one crave, on a night out, with smokers - flipping brilliant!!
Went off to the loo, had a fake puff on my fake fag, sucked a mini and job done - bye bye crave and OK I'm not exactly bright eyed and bushy tailed am feeling loads better than back when I smoked!!
When you get into the swing, it's all positives this quitting lark
Here's to a fab, smoke free, weekend!! xxx

So the girl who could never quit seems too have cracked it now :D:D:cool:
This has to be your time, nights out no probs, shopping trips no probs
and getting stronger by the day!! Gemma's in control and not Nic at last he must
be sulking in the corner somewhere :D xx
It's amazing
Something clicked in my head before i quit, and it made me go from enjoying my fags (which sadly, I did) to actually being angry with myself for smoking, and feeling trapped. Think I owe a lot of that to Kat, for all her gentle persuasion!!
And something else clicked earlier in the week and snapped me out of the stress and worry about it - so it's looking pretty good now!!
xx
Oh my lovely Gemma. I'm loving the positive smoke free you. You should be so proud of how far you've come and how hard you've fought. This is your time. x
Aww thanks hun!!
Don't think I ever "got" the mindset quite right before, very close but not quite there, now i do though and it's fab!!
Know I can do it, so there's nothing holding me back!! xx
wow you're an inspiration Gems two massive triggers over come, nic doesn't stand a chance I'm so pleased that you've arrived on a safe rock in all the turbulent sea that drowns so many good on you Gem Gems :D

It's just great to have found my groove and to be beating this one day at a time!!
