Hi Everyone,

I'm just wondering if anyone else is experiencing some post festive blues?

My enthusiasm has plummeted, and it almost feels like i have achieved my big goals of Christmas and NY, its back to work tomorrow, and it all smells a bit like week old pants!

Not sure whether this is to do with not chuffing, or the after festive anticlimax.

I'll sure as sugar not be smoking though, i tell you that much.

Just wanted to put it into words then i can move away from the Moo.

Thanks for reading!

Zozie xx

I think there does tend to be a low feeling after big events for most people, so much goes on then all is quiet. There are some posts in "Other Symptoms of Quitting" section about feeling low after stopping smoking that might help.

Hi Guys!!!

Thanks for your answers, woke up in a bad one, have managed to solve it now by taking my doggie for a huge walk in the woods, and then making enough fresh veg soup of different varietys to keep me going all week with healthy brain food!

I've decided that enough flab is enough... and its a new year to fight back! I'll sure be sick of soup but i'll be healthier and back in shape... hoorah!!

Yep Mixxy, the first round is mine.... *runs in the direction of the pub!*

Hi Zozie

The soups sound great. Good for you for making good use of your time today and preparing for some good self care.

Your quit is currently at almost 2 months complete and maybe, in addition to the January blues kicking in, it's a two month feeling thing? You know like the terrible Month 3 thing some folk get, well your getting it a little earlier maybe.

I recall a few posts mentioning a general slump in mood around the stage of nearing 2 months/beginning 3 months.

Hope whatever it is calms down and your feeling good and strong soon as.

Thanks Pol!

I think its just a blip in general moodiness.... I'm onto the veg risotto now, being in the kitchen (and not eating the contents of the fridge) being productive is the key today... I'm fairly determined that all of the real bad feelings are behind me, and its time to make myself busy and active if they start, hopefully i may miss anything by not giving it enough time to surface!

You and everyone on here are absolute troopers and stars, and i wouldn't have been able to get this far without you all. and i'm sure not going to let any of you down! Ohhh Noooo!
