I had my carbon monoxide test redone as its 6 months since my last puff down the tube, last time it was 51, yesterday it was 2. I am just so thrilled with myself, nurse said definately a non smoker now as far as she is concerned, I fairly drifted out of surgery I tell you.
As many of you know I have found this quit extremely hard at times and still miss it at times like crazy, but it is getting better, and I am feeling stronger within myself.
I think I now beleive in myself and my ability to do this and that in itself is empowering, but I would never had got this far without all the support I have had along the way from members of this forum, thank you all very much.
Nearly 50 days !!!

Well let's get the cake out and celebrate our Dee!! Look at you Miss 50 days, I will be pleased to share my penthouse with you sweetheart.
Bless you Christine another excuse for a piece of cake and a glass of wine methinks, bought some of those dreaded leggings today, oh my they feel comfy and have lots of room.
I knew you had it in you to get to the stage where it all began to fall into place and all the struggles become worth it.............
That's a great reading and I'm so pleased for you that finally the cravings are easing up. If lungs could talk and sing yours would have Devon up and dancing right now.
Keep believing in yourself............... 'coz we do
You two make me laugh, smile and feel good !!!! Im smiling at you two, wine is being served Christine, Bridget Jones knickers are already in use (had hidden them away in secret drawer when I got back to 10/12 skinny jeans lol.) Have been raking through wardrobe for clothes to wear this weekend as seeing all the family and wanted to look good, never mind at least I smell damn good !!!
Hi Dee - well you and I are quit buddies so not long until we both reach the big 50 days. Like you I just want to thank everyone for all the wonderful support - and how although we all have difficult times we are there for each other.
Well done on the carbon monoxide count - my docs don't do that and are absolutely hopeless about supporting people to stop smoking - so without this group I don't think I would have suceeded.
50 days thats fab quitting sats. Things will turn around big time for you now. I myself found the early days very hard and struggled a lot. But things do get easyer and much better honest. Just keep smoke free your doing great. There is light at the end of the tunnel but dont forget to give yoursels little treats along the way.xxxxxx
Well done Dee, your count of 2 is brilliant, it's great to hear you sounding so positive and happy. Wishing you every success, soon be your 2 months completed.
Jackie
Sue your reading would be a 2 as well, pat yourself on the back you are a non-smoker too.
