I was wondering that myself Sue (I am going to start shortening my signature!!).
It would be interesting to see what method we have all used by the time we get into the Penthouse!
Note to others - If I had my time again I would not have given up!! So I will not blame anyone who falls off the wagon, however I know I will never smoke again:eek:

Hey, what do you mean "time again" "not have given up". If you had your time again would you have smoked that first cig? I am guessing that the answer is no. So now we all have that choice again, do you, or any of us choose to smoke that first cig again? I know that I CHOOSE NOT TO SMOKE.
Bev - you're 100% correct. If I had my time again I would run screaming from that first fag. When I think about how many times I felt ashamed, weak, pathetic and just plain rubbish because I smoked.

Sorry Bev, I did mean I WOULD NOT HAVE GIVEN UP!!!!!!!!!! I did not do it for health or money so my reasons may differ from others, however I stand by the fact I will not smoke again. Honest but true. I do hate BS.
I always said I would only give up once and I have.
Christine, I also did not give up for health or money, and also if you had told me 12 weeks ago how bloody hard it was I would have caved straight away, however if I could go back in time to the first cig I ever smoked I would without a doubt say no.
I do not do BS, many around here will confirm that!
Today I choose not to smoke, not one puff ever (NOPE).
Hindsight is best viewed from before, not in hindsight
Wise words from Pol I agree, too..... no reason to look back........ live now and trust you're making the right decisions along the way.

I think I've followed your quit the closest, Bev............. maybe cause you're an Aquarius and I like you Your journey may have been tough but you are still here! That is something you know! You've really shown your commitment and I think you've formed the basis for a very solid quit. You may not be 100% confident but trust me, that will come with time. You're gonna have a tough day here and there but overall things are going to now get easier....... I'm so proud of you xxx
Blimey, I had no recollection of posting that until just
Too many Tia Maria's last night and conversations about 'In hindsight' and 'If only' about smoking and ..............
I'm with Christine.... I kind of 'accidentally fell' into this quit and now I'm here, here I stay because it makes sense to..... but it wasn't a conscious decision to stop for health, finance ..... if it wasn't for that dental work that caused this quit, then I'd still be smoking thinking 'One day I'll stop, but for now I enjoy it, regardless'!
I'm not going to smoke again ever  But I do wish I'd not had to quit but I'm happy now that I have

I concur....I fell into this quit, if locum doc had not mentioned my smoking on routine appointment and offered the Champix then I would probably not been here...still telling myself that I would quit one day.
IT IS TOUGH....far tougher than anyone warns you but I aint going back, cos there is no way I want to do day 1 to 50 again...no mattter how had the next 50 are...
