Day 9..sore throat...still???

Hiya, has anybody had a sore throat when they quit??? and do they know how long it will last. It's driving me crazy. Many thanks Lisa

I had a scratchy throat for the first few days, but it has cleared up since Wednesday. I don't know if it's because I was coughing a lot at first- guess my lungs were trying to expell gunge?- but it feels much better now. I did have hot toddy's on the 5th and 6th days as I thought I had a cold, that may have helped ease the sore throat, honey is supposed to have antiseptic qualities. Anyway, hot toddy's are nice so it wasn't a hardship! Maybe try honey lemon and hot water? See if that helps- I slip a whisky in!

had a sore throat for a couple of days, best to keep drinking plenty, i also found a passion for cough candy twists sore throat went after a couple of days hope it goes quickly for you too

I had that lump for about three days and stopped immediately when I drank some really nasty bitter and hot Chinese herbal boiled up roots and leaves concoction that I had in the frig from when I had a nasty, nasty cold.

I read the throat is (usually) a temporary thing that needs knocking out. Some people use antibiotics to clear it up.

Sorry about the sore throat but it's fairly common for us quitters and doesn't usually last long if it hangs about check with your Dr to set your mind at rest

hey lisa i am a day 9er too....using zyban and lots of head aches. lets count days together....I know I am ok tonite so will be day 10 when I wake keep going girl xxxx

Hi, yes i've had a sore throat, i'm on day 8 now and its my 1st day without a cig. I am getting slight headaches too. usually in the evening.

Headaches like this tend to be the norm for loys of us but they don't last for long
