Hey Soosy

Week 3 seems to be the biatch of the early weeks for most folk. Your over the worst..... hun... the rest is easier...honestly...... pls believe me.

Smile and work your way through the rest.... it gets easier. I was skeptical, but they were telling the truth

Your back probs are adding to this....life can be what it will be, then we take control - yeah? ((HUGS))

Soosy, keep fighting the good fight. Just passed my third week and no more coughing...thats a bonus! All the gunk is out of you now ..keep it up! You will not regret it!

Good luck! I, for one, CANNOT wait for 1 month smokefree. :D

I'm just behind you guys, on day 18. This week has felt really bleh - tired, grumpy, fed up and lost that initial euphoria about the quit.

It could just be because I'm on a train to Manchester, never an appealing prospect for a brummie.:D

Hope this week is better for you Soosy. :)

I am in week 3 and I am finding it ok at the moment. Last weekend was horrendous and not looking forward to next weekend if it is going to be the same.

hey, struggling thru week 3 also, yesterday was the worst, had a crappy day in work, was dying for a smoke all day, then after work had to drive my sister to an appointment, wait in the car for 20mins and then watch her have a smoke afterwards, torture!

But one thing I did notice was that while I was watching her have a smoke although i would have liked one and i was enjoying the smell of the cigarette, i didn't actually NEED a cigarette and defo wasn't willing to give up my 17 days of non-smoking for one. I DIDN'T NEED ONE. I was able to stand there and not smoke and it didn't bother me half as much as I thought it would. I was delighted with myself when I got home, definitely think it was a turning point for me and I'm now starting to believe that maybe I can actually do this!

Keep up the good work everyone!

Hi Soosy, Well done on getting to the end of Week 3. I've also heard aout the terrible threes - day 3, week 3, month 3. Just remeber how strong you were to get through the worst - and you'll never have to do it again.

Well done

Sue

The terrible threes exist but don't let some people get confused , this crisis might hit some people earlier (2nd week) or later (4th week) depending on their quit method , and the time spend away not from smoking but from nicotine.

For example I felt the complete physical nicotine withdrawal symptoms at the end of the second week , because I didn't use any nicotine help products.

Hi Soosy

How you doing? Are you finding things any easier? I think your back problem isn't helping and also the weekend thing.

If you give in so will I - no pressure or anything but we are quit buddies!

Make and eat some more lemon drizzle cake? ;)

Be strong - you are doing well
