Day 5 for me, and I cannot stop thinking about smoking this morning. This is the most vulnerable I have felt since quit day. I really hope this feeling goes away today. All I can say is thank goodness I am back to work today, it will keep my mind busy ..
Day 5 for me: Day 5 for me, and I cannot stop... - No Smoking Day
Day 5 for me
Hi Michelle
Ohhhhhhhhh I remember that feeling so well but you're doing great on day 5 just grit your teeth it will pass Promise
Thinking about them a lot this early in a quit is normal because after all smoking was a huge part of our lives for a long time
Then suddenly BAM we quit and our bodies and brains really don't like it at first it takes a little while for them to adapt but adapt they will Promise
The further down this road you travel the easier it gets

Hiya Wildcats,
I also quit on the 12th of November....Hope you got through this morning and are now in work and your mind occupied. The cravings seem to last forever at first don't they? I'm struggling with motivation, did I really spend all that time procrastinating and smoking fags? Very sad indeed!!! You can do it, there's lots of proof in this forum. I'm behind you all the way. I'm sure the cravings fade in intensity and duration with time, lots of other people say they do and I gotta put my faith in them as they have been there and done that. You've managed to Day 5 a great achievement. All the best. Lisa X
Oh and if you havn't got a list of the cons to smoking I would make one. Everytime you get a craving read the list to re-enforce why you want to give up. Already your hair, clothes and breath will no longer smell of cigarettes. You may be able to smell and taste better. Your lungs are clearing out all of the muck. You've saved money. You're no longer deemed anti-social. The list goes on. Hope it helps. Lisa
You're doing great Wildcats, just take deep breaths and keep busy. This horrible feeling will occur less often with day, so keep in there.
Hi wildcats, you'll get these days/moments but they do pass. Then they become less frequent and less severe til you're hardly ever thinking about a cigarette. It just takes time to re-programme yur brain and yur behaviour. Just think, you're nearly at Week One - and then you'll never have to do that week one again.

Day 5 wow, it goes really quickly. You are doing very well my love keep it up.
