Week 10.........some musings

Well a funny week again - a bit like last week.

Monday and Tuesday - crap

Weds - bit better

Thurs and Fri - better still.

I know some you you have also felt a bit off this week - hope you're better now.

Some things I've noticed:

1. I've started to get up earlier and am not so exhausted. Hope this continues

2. Is the weather to blame for my mood? (Jase - with you on this). Its easy to blame everything on not smoking - but is it really the case?

3. How few smokers there really are about - came back from lunch and only really saw two people in the pouring rain chuffing outside a pub.

4. Think my feelings towards fags has changed. Before it was I NEED a fag - now its I WANT a fag - two totally different things. I WANT a Lamborghini - but not gonna get one - Hey Ho! Now I don't want to be blase here - this is the hardest thing I've ever done - and I wouldn have done it without my broken shoulder - its just this shift means its a lot more manageable - and I look forward to these feelings getting milder.

So thats week 10 nearly over - here's to week 11!

Hoep you all have a smoke/crave/cry/mood free weekend.

Rome wasn't built in a day - and I smoked nearly 30 years - so its a hell of a change for a body and mind to go through.(I like this - how do I create a signature thingy like you lot have?).

y agreed atomic guy,

your body is working at an incredible rate to change stuff for you. its hard as we cant see inside, we can only tell by how we feel and look.

Interesting what you were writing about your "needs and wants".

how about looking at it like this. Next time you find yourself thinking "i want a cigarette", how about changing that thought to "I want this craving to pass"

keep going, what you are doing is worth feeling crap for a bit to achieve. And it is the hardest thing you'll ever do, but once its done, everything else seems like its easy. and life becomes magic.

hang in there bud :)

If you click on "User CP" then "Edit Signature" you can set it in there.

Glad you are doing well Atomicguy. Can't say I am getting up any earlier though mate! Must just be you lol.

12 weeks now for me since I last had a cigarette, and I still get, or think I get a craving every day at some point. But they are getting less intense as time goes by.

This is definately the longest period of time I have gone without a cigarette since I started smoking all those years ago. :D

Not what you're looking for?
