Evening of day 5 and after a stressful day at work I'm having a massive crave.

I will not give in to the monster, I will not, I will not......

................Hang on in there. It'll soon be day 6!!:D

I tend to get moments rather than cravings (I'm on day 9) and remind myself 'It'll soon pass'.

Good luck!

Hang in there Soosy, it will pass.

Your stronger than this crave :)

I found days 5 to 11 or thereabouts, the worst. Mood swings, evil glares at everyone, and the mutterings/cursing I came out with  Good job I mostly work alone.

Evenings were (still are to some degree) the worst time for me. I had to change some of my routine/habits and avoid certain situations like TV, reading, sitting in the Lounge whilst OH was smoking. I kept my self positively distracted and busy both of mind and hands. It helped me a lot

You will look back at each crave resisted and feel great you 'mentally' told it where to go.

Soosy

Tell yourself to wait for an hour, or 30 minutes - whatever it takes. You know it'll pass and you'll feel so good about yourself for hanging on. I'm on day 6 and am ok except for a few moments driving home........ but I felt good coming in after resisting, and so will you.

Hey Soosy,

You hang in there and do loads of other things. Keep busy, busy, busy and the thought will pass. Try not to dwell on it and instead concentrate on what you are doing...if you are washing the dishes...are they all clean? Cooking...does it smell good? Reading this forum....crisis' pass....they do and everyone says they do, so they will pass for you.

GO FOR BATH NOW! (sorry I know I always say that but it works). Get some chewing gum, do the crossword, go for a walk around the block, sort out your sock draw, paint your toe nails, look on the net for next years holiday, do something.

Do anything to take your mind off it.

It will pass, I promise but Pol is right it may be a hard slog for the next few days but it does get better my love.

xx Hugs
