Day 26 & Dizzy

Had a good day today, hardly any cravings (had loads yesterday but not today thank goodness).

I am experiencing slight dizzyness and lightheadedness. Not sure if this is a common thing or if it's just a huge sugar rush from all the lollipops I've been eating lol

Anyone else had the same problem??

Advice welcome!!

Thanks

Tanya xx

Sorry can't really help, even though I do suffer from this but I'm only on day 7. Try eating little and often and drink plenty of water and see if that helps. Otherwise a trip to the doctors may be the way forward.

PS - I am loving the lollies too:D

Hey Tanya,

side effects of quitting smoking really vary so much.......... could be that your body is getting oxygenated so well that you get light headed? No idea really but your body will get back to normal soon. Just hang in there, and of course go see a doc if you're ever too worried about how you're feeling! Best of luck to you and well done on almost completing your first month :)

Tanya, I had the same dizzy spells. I started drinking more water. About 8 glasses a day. This seemed to help. When I was smoking, I always had something to drink with the cig or right after. When I quit, I didn't feel the need for the glass of tea or water or coffee. Almost became dehydrated. Something to watch. Jody

Dizzy Spells

Thanks for all your tips on this matter. It's been a great help.

I have mentioned this problem to the doctor when I went today and she said this is normal when stopping smoking as you do become too oxygenated. A smoker takes deeper breaths than a non smoker so I should try to 're-train' my breathing so I take shallower breaths (hope this makes sense)

4 weeks today, still lovin' the lollipops so will have to start keeping an eye on the weight but one thing at a time lol

Hi Tanya, Sat here with my Chuppa chup but I dont think it will kill me and whats a few pounds in the winter anyway, keeps you warm.

In the spring Im running up Skiddaw in the lakes (when I say running I mean strolling it just sounds better) so I will lose the weight then.

Leeds lass then, come and join the Tykes over at Bradders place
