Haha....
I was testing the super advanced pre-emptive support network that we've created... the one where you post for me in advance. You passed! Congratulations! I'm uber amused by this!
I was saving my post for last thing... nothing worse than me posting first thing in the AM exulting an hour's sucess then turning up shame faced by tea time. But this is me being pessimistic... I am determined to make this forum proud of me and when I'm over the serious straight-faced withdrawl phase, I'll be taking the humour route. Laugh while you quit! etc etc.
Thank you Carol...
Yes, humour does work best... in almost all situations!
I commend you on quitting your own 40+ habit. That is quite a time consuming habit and is horribly hard to let go of.
I did actually succeed quitting that quantity for years and although I resumed smoking through a dreadful patch in life, I couldn't even smoke 20 these days if I tried, which is a blessed relief. Ironically, I haven't even managed to feel triumphant in that success and took the rather negative view of feeling that it all became invalid the day I backtracked and started again. I'm more inclined to listen to your view of "if I can do it, you can do it" because it's easier to relate to others than yourself when, really I could say "if I can do it, I can do it..." (haha- seems funny in writing).
Oh it gets a bit silly around here sometimes
But that's what works for some of us and hey anything that works!!
I still get up every morning and cant quite believe I have done another day....I can honestly say I never thought I would be a non smoker............but hey I AM...hehe

Thanks Carol
I think it's amazing and it's reinforcement like that which really makes me want to join you in the pursuit... I WANT to be that sucessful too!
