Hi all. I Stopped smoking on Sunday night (310509) after 25 years of smoking 20-a-day. Im using an Inhalator but I dont know if its just prolonging the agony from freeing my body of Nicotine once and for all. Can anyone advise me if I should stop using it? I think I may find it harder without it, but need to know if its just keeping the habit bit alive!!
Im finding today the hardest, but gonna keep going. My wife who stopped at the same time just rang to say she's started again so hope I dont!
Regards and keep it going people!

I can't really advice you on the inhalator but i wanted to reply to try to encourage you not to start again.
I went cold turkey after reading advice on the websites that many people have in their signitures but i still remember how hard day 3 was but it does get easier and the craves do not last long and they become much less frequent.
After one month (today) i am feeling great so it is so worth it
I decided that i was going to quit for myself this time because in the passed my husband and i both gave up together and once he started again, i did too.
Now my husand has followed me because i know he can see that i am looking and feeling much better

Thanks for encouragement Given-up....will keep trying !
Whatever works for you is the best thing. I've done it CT so can't comment on the inhalor really. If you go three days without putting any additional nicotine in your system then it will all be gone. That has to be a good thing. But it's only a good thing if you don't smoke - so whatever helps you get through.
Well done for getting through the first couple of days. It will get easier. Stay strong.
Welcome to the forum and well done on the decision to quit possibly one of the most important you will ever make and you will be losing nothing but you will regain control of your life and that has to be good

Well day on 3 days quit with the inhalor I really don't know much about them as never used one, but lots on here have and will be along later I expect to help you
I'm sorry your wife who stopped with you has started again, but it really doesn't mean that you will as well
Post often to let us know how you're doing, to rant, rave have a moan whatever you like pretty much anything goes on here OK
Hi there, like some others I can't comment on the inhaler as I didn't use one.... but I think your quit is your quit and you should do it how ever is best for you. About the starting up again... tis day 3 for you.. it's a bustard that one, all nicotine leaving your body but if you smoke again at some stage you'll have to do day 1,2 and 3 all over again.
