Hi Superdrug were doing an offer, not sure if still are but they were doing the fruity chewing gum, You should ask your doctor for more, cos when I went for patches she gave me two wks, I said I could get back on next visit as work away (not true) and she give me four weeks... Shouldnt have to do that but prescription prices so high I was not going back every 2 wks, when I could have a month on one prescription for £7.. Kaz
Be careful buying gum on the cheap-lots of copies out there-you will just have to cough up and get them from Boots-they often do special offers anyway-remember your fags cost £5.00 a pack anyway!!!!
Gum is a short term thing so it won't break the bank- i was on gum for the first 3 months and paid for them myself-couldn't do with visiting a doctor who didn't understand my addiction to niocotine, dictating how i should stop!!!!
I know you can get them from Morrison's off the shelf, you don't even have to go to the Pharmacy there they're with the other over the counter Medicines
Have you tried Ebay? I have bought 2 lots of inhalators off there and there is always plenty of gum there. Obviously watch who you are buying off and check feedback etc.
Superdrug do the 2mgs packs of 105 in cinnamint for 3.99.
Like you, I smoked cheep tabacco and I'm stopping on a budget. If 2mgs isn't strong enough for you, you could chew 2 at a time! But to be honest, I bought them by accident thinking that they were the 4mg and didn't notice the difference untill tonight. They helped me just as well as the stronger ones. I was buying the fruit ones but the offer ran out and I wondered if I would like them as much, not being a lover of cinnamon. They taste quite fruity.
