Back in January I posted this thread: CLICK

It told of how I was struggling with being away from home and encountering triggers I hadn't experienced before.

I have just got back from some more time away from home - and had no problem at all. No thoughts of smoking whatsoever.

So practice has paid of again. Last time I practiced being a non smoker in that particular situation and it paid off.... I didn't have to do anything this time.

Practice makes perfect and since I want to be free of smoking, I must practice it - everyday. As Nic quoted on that thread - the price of freedom is eternal vigilence.

Yes that's the way it seems to work.

There are many trigger points which are infrequent, and we must be prepared to deal with then when they hit.

One of the common ones which will be coming up for people over the Summer months will be holidays!

Glad the practising paid off.

Mine was coming off set after filming!!! OMG thinking back those times were hard, now i don't even think about it - i'm more bothered about running back to the makeup room for a big mug of choccy drink!!! Practice Practice!! really does retrain the brain, into not triggering the need to smoke, basically breaking the habit xx

Hey Stuart, just wanted to say I was thinking of this post last night while out with some of my old smoking buddies mixed with copious amounts of beer and wine.

I managed to get through it without smoking and I have to say it was in no small part to this post and the hope that next time round it will be that much easier.
