Hi all,
I am stopping tomorrow and the only thing I am concerned about is I have a function set for the weekend. All non-smokers apart from me which is great but feel I might just flip out.
Is anyone at the 7 day mark or any other quitters who can advise me about this. I just feel there will always be events and functions to attend so now is as good a time as any. perhaps I just need a thumbs up.
As a 15 year long smoker at 31 and smoking 30 a day with many failed attemps (best 8 months) its hard to get support from close people as they have always seen you fail. 'friends and family pin you down with their thoughts and expectations' Casteneda once said.
I think it is valid to say support and belief from others is a major part of stopping. Someone who throws down judgement and takes the step into total trust.
Can anyone do that?
cheers and hope to hear from someone in the internet ether!
well done to all who have stopped.
