Hi Penny :)

Welcome to the forum and well done on the decision to quit possibly one of the most important you will ever make and you will be losing nothing but you will regain control of your life and that has to be good

You will find all the help and support you need on here as we all help each other just like a family we are here for you every step of the way cheering the good days and sympathiseing with the bad but the good far outweigh the bad

Read the posts on here you will find a lot of tips and advice and in the signatures of a lot you will find links to other sites just click on them Here are 2 I find very good to start you off whyquit.com and woofmang.com Read, read and then read some more as the more you read and learn about why you smoked and about your addiction the easier your quit will be

I also used Champix as an aid to quit and had no problems with them apart from a little nausea with the morning one but took it mid morning instead and that solved the problem So afraid I don't know why it's affecting your partner like this unless they just don't suit him if this problem continues he should go back to his GP/Nurse for advice and it is more than likely you will be fine on them

As Jim said almost all of us get disturbed sleep for a while probably because we get more oxygen in the blood and thus to the brain

Good Luck

Marg

Hey Penny and welcome..... I went cold turkey... well, had some 'valium type help' but I slept terrible for almost a month.... then miraculously everything normalized and I have been sleeping well again for 3-4 nights. I know it is hard initially but if you just stick it out everything gets better..... much, much better! Best of luck to you!

Hi Penny :D

You're doing great on day 3 just hang in there until you reach the day you've decided on to have you last fag smoke as you fell like it and if you want to stop before that day just do it the habit may be a bit difficult it was for me but not impossible and I have only had one really bad crave since I quit so don't get to worried and stressed about it

Love
