Went on the piss last night and smoked 3 fags. Usually would smoke about 60 when out on an all day bender. Felt gutted this morning, however the strange thing is I don't have any craving today at all !!
Firmly back on the wagon now and more determined than ever !!

KTC

I did the same, although not out, just had a mad craving and the next thing i had 10 cigs in my pocket. i smoked 1 and threw the packet away. I kicked myself over it, but its not the end of the world, considering how many cigs ive not had.
Hey, like the others said, it's not a massive issue. The important thing is that it doesn't happen again! Stay strong next time man! The lack of inhibitions and the ability to say NO when you're drunk must be a really tough thing to do... dunno how I'm gonna manage . But as you pointed out, it was only 3, and not 20 times that number.
Thinking about the fact you have no craving, do you think possibly it's because you've satisfied the addiction with those 3 cigs, 'topped up' your nicotine so to speak? Hope the cravings don't come back.
Well good on you!!! The main thing here is that you are back on with your quit.
You dont have any craving today but please be aware that your addiction cant just be turned off and on at will. Staying quit is of the upmost importance here . We find that alchohol loosens the resolve , therefore sometimes we see it as an excuse to smoke.
What is going to happen next time you have a drink? ........you should ask yourself this before you do so. Its just another assosciation you have to now do as a non smoker . Trust me , you will still enjoy a drink but you have to break free from the bond that drinking and smoking go together.
Im really pleased that your decision is to continue with your quit as some wouldnt have been so brave. The fact that you are more determined should help also.
Well done on getting straight back on with the business of freeing yourself from the evil white sticks!
I went out to the pub yesterdayfor the first time since I quit - I found that I had to stay focussed on the reasons why I wanted to quit and that I was in control, not the nicotine monkey b'stards!!
No cigs on Sunday or today, just a blip. I only had a smoke when I got a bit tipsy so I guess the secret is less beer for a while until I'm out of the woods.
Notice I said less beer Ha ! Ha!
Sorry I feel I've let you guys down but fear not as I said I'm back and stronger than ever.
That's the spirit KTC, back and stronger than ever!
Less beer? Although it's entirely and unequivocally against my moral fibre , I've been thinking of having shandys instead of straight up pints when I go to the pub. You know, so you still have the same amount of pints, but the inhibitions remain intact! Anyone else tried it this way?
