Today "18th Dec 2010" I make formal application to join the Penthouse club , as today represents one year without smoking. I am so proud of this achievement, that that I am going out tonight with wife,two sons and my Daughter for a meal (and yes I will be forced by them to drink that horrible stuff that they call Balvenie single malt whiskey).
I must admit that I have not been posting a lot in the last couple of months, but I must thank all the brilliant people in this forum who have helped me to reach this point, and although we should'nt single out indevidual people, I am going to do it by saying a special thanks to my quit buddy who you will all know "Jamangie" Thank Jamangie you are special, and when they open this Penthouse door and let me in I will let you know what it is like. I will be the one on Christmas Day that will open the Penthouse door for you with a big drink in my hand for you, but thanks to everyone.
Some facts if enyone is interested:
Cigarettes not smoked in this year:10,950 (Yes you read it right , I smoked 30 a day)
Money saved:£2,956.00
Last thing is I wish everyone is a Happy and smoke free Christmas and a very happy and smoke free new year.

I can not express how happy I am for you, you have done brilliant and I cant wait to join you in the Penthouse for a drinky Pooos, Your special thanks are recieved with pride and it has been an honour to have been your quit buddy, I hope this is not the end of a beautiful friendship and that you will continue to use the forum and to give your great support to myself and so many others.
Its a special occasion when you reach the twelve Month milestone and can then start to maybe not dwell quite so much on the individual Days Weeks Months etc

Thanks for the comments Carol and next to not smoking , my happyness is having my family around so I will enjoy our night out with my two sons home from Birmingham and Edinburgh uni's and my Daughter and the two grandsons staying with us!! what more could any person ask for?
