What a stink!

Day 9 today and its going better than yesterday thankfully. One thing i never really noticed is just how bad ashtrays smell,had a visitor today that smokes(ugh) and it stinks. Thank god im a non smoker.

Its right disgusting isn't it? The smell! I was just leaving my b/f's tonight as he was putting out a fag. When I kissed him it tasted DISGUSTING! Urghh I don't normally kiss him when he's just had a fag but seeing as I was leaving I had no choice. I could taste it *cringe* It was proper nasty!

Ashtrays stink and i've noticed that even the walls outside shopping centres stink!! I sat down outside the supermarket waiting for boyfy to come and get me and my trolley. I ended up among smokers but that doesn't bother me. What bothered me was the smell of the wall!! Stinkin!! I had to move away and I could see the smokers tut and roll their eyes... also someone had their grandkid crawling around but that's for another day lol

I think we find our sense of smell improves drastically after just a few days - mine did - I recall in the early days of my quit going into a newsagents and standing by a guy - he must have had a dog end in his pocket - I almost retched the smell was discusting. When a car goes past me now with it's windows open I can smell the smoke (if they are smokers) from the pavement. Today I went to the dome I came out of the front exit to nip for a sarnie and the smell of smoke was overpowering.

However, I hate to admit - I STILL like the smell of a newly lit cigerett, NO - I am not tempted, but hope soon to say that this smells revolting to me too.

Its weird how we only notice certain things about smoking after giving up. Stale smoke smell is the worst tho lol
