Hi Jill - sorry to hear about your slip up but glad to hear you picked yourself up and stopped again. It will get better and we are all here for you. So if you want to rant and rave just come on here.
Every day, every hour you spend not smoking is better than a day or an hour spent smoking.
Just stay focussed on the goal. YOU CAN BE FREE OF THE COMPULSION TO PUT A TUBE IN YOUR MOUTH AND LIGHT IT. You weren't borne needing to do it. Somewhere in there your body knows the non-addicted state, but, poor thing, it's been habituated to the nicotine trap.
Every time you say no to a cigarette you are giving your body a little time to readjust to it's natural state.
Keep going. No matter how many times you stumble, you will have contributed towards your eventual freedom.
It would be so GREAT to help someone of your age with so much on her plate to kick this horrible habit. I didn't. Took me 'til i was 57 to get serious!!! Please don't let that be you!
hi all and thankyou as today has been a git for me but its allbut over now and tomorrow a new day and all that and a big thanks to billg as you really made me think that it is better to do this now rather then later when it might be to late.
