I am having a really bad time...

Hi guys,

My mum had an operation yesterday, she had a bad bleed last night and she is now in intensive care, I am so worried about her and am struggling to keep the ciggies away (havn't had one yet) really don't know what to do, I feel so helpless!

I have been quit for 1 Week, 1 hour, 10 minutes and 4 seconds (7 days). I have saved £17.47 by not smoking 70 cigarettes. I have saved 5 hours and 50 minutes of my life. My Quit Date: 11/03/2008 13:47

if you want to talk. we are here for you. it is hard but smoking will not help.

I can sympathise as I am in a similar situation. My mum has had 3 operations in 3 weeks and is not healing....its a real worry.

I try and tell myself that me having a ciggie won't help the situation especially as my mum is so pleased I'm quitting.

sorry to read about your mum.

please dont start smoking, you will be able to spend more time with her instead of running out of the hospital gates just to have a cig.

you are right, my mum is chuffed that I have quit too, Its the thinking afterwards that makes me want one. I am trying as I know she will be gutted if I turn up smelly.

thats the way to go. if you smoke now. not only will you be leting yourself

down but also your mum. dont do it... it will get easyer. we are all here for

you...
