good morning Lovelight, sorry you had a bad night, hope the day is better! Taking away a 'support system' (even a phony one) must have all kinds of weird side effects. Keep strong though 'cos they pass and the urges get fewer and shorter all the time.;) You're doing great.
I think the reason I kept waking up last night was because I was so hot! Kept checking the heating wasnt on, but I think it must be a side effect of stopping smoking.
I'm trying to just keep myself busy today. Is it just me, or does everyone else find they suddenly have loads more time to kill?
I hear a cold spell is due. I only ever smoked in the garden and believe me I used to be out there at all hours and in all weather! Used to feel SO stupid when the neighbours saw me... it can be as cold as it likes tomorrow as I shall be staying in the warm (fingers, toes crossed etc).
I too am on day2 struggled towards the end of the afternoon yesterday.
Actually slept well last night and had a lie in!! but that is due to too much festive alcohol and late nights me thinks!!
The cold snap has just happened here, really midday it's a lot colder than it was first thing!!!
Glad to not have to be venturing out there for smokes eh?
So theres 6 of us day2ers and pups on day one so us theres 7 of us together.
The rest of the gang here are also very supportive, no airs n graces just lots of experience and support. This forum is a god send, make sure you rant, rave cry and laugh here with everyone, because here, everyone knows what you are going through and will not judge you for it.
Hi Lovelight welcome aboard, hey I too used to feel too hot at night esp for the first weeks so I reckon it must be a side effect, it goes away though in the long run along with the rest of the not so welcomed side effect annoyances Hang in there, time does feel like totally never passing in the first few days, it's cause we are so focused on not smoking that everything else just fades in the background, keeping busy really works - I quit on a Monday morning and as a result by the time I got tons of free time on my hands on Saturday I was already on day 6 and the worst had all gone
Be proud of every hour that you manage to pass smoke free, you're doing great
