That didn't work out to well, and neither did Saturday the 25th Aug.
However today Sunday the 26th Aug worked out well.
I had my last smoke at 10:30 pm on Saturday 25th August, so I am coming up to the end of Day 1.
Albeit, If I had had the opportunity to buy some smokes today I would have done, so I am not holding my breath at the moment.
Well it's nearly the end of the day so it ain't worth going to the Co-Op for smokes now, may as well wait until tomorrow now and hopefully I'll wake up with a better attitude than the one I have now.
It's ironic really, I continuously plan a date for stopping the evil weed, and keep failing on a regular basis, and then when I am expecting it the least I manage to get through a whole day (by accident) without any real problems at all. don't know whether to laugh or cry!!!!
I actually went into a newsagents today and asked for a small packet of Drum and a pack of papers, but the guy only had the large pouches (which I didn't have cash on me for) so I walked out with nothing (I figured that the big man upstairs was trying to tell me something) .
Anyhow, time to sit down and relax for the evening. And a big well done to all those non smokers out there...

I see you live in Norwich so now that you have done 1 day you might as well carry on and do 2 days and if you go and buy some tobacco tomorow, I may well pop up the road and kill you myself! Come on mate, you don't sound very commited, think how well you have done today and you even said it was done accidentally and it wasn't hard. So come on, make a commitment and stick to it tomorow, you can do it, we are all here to support you.
Good luck for tomorow and just remember, I may be watching you!
Day 1 - EXCELLENT! You have finally made it to day 1 and you are doing great. As the days go on things get easier and your body is thanking you for ever ciggie that you don't have. After three days the nic is out of your system and remember that cravings only last 3 minutes. Fight that nic demon off and do it for your health You will be feeling sooo much better very soon. Don't give in it's not worth it and there really is nooo point in smoking. It is a filthy habit that WILL kill you in the long run.
I look forward to seeing your day 2 post! You are so right about it being a waste if you turned back now! Keep going forward - great job - you can do it!

Gav!!
Well done one day down lets stick to it this time!!?
Okay then, albeit very unlikely, but I need to find out, are you my sister in-law or Brother...???
My brother married a Canadian (about 3 or 4 years ago now, maybe longer) and moved out to Peterborough, Ontario.
I saw them both at Christmas in the UK last year and since then my Sister-In-Law has had to quit smoking for health reasons and you never know my Brother may well have jumped on the band wagon also.
Like I said a very long shot but you never know who you're talking to!!!
And I would imagine you'd have picked up on my location and user name also.
