Hi Chipmunk 422. Please DO NOT take Zinc without getting the o.k. from your doctor! My nephrologist told me never to take Zinc as it can harm my transplant.

Talk to your transplant center so you have a clear plan of what to do if you become infected.

I’m in this boat now. How did you fair!? My husband is positive and while I’m confident I was exposed, knock on wood, do all the things, I’ve been testing negative. I dropped my husband off at the airport for work travel on a Sunday morning, he had symptoms by Monday evening which I guess means he contracted it 3-4 days before? Which, I was with him all weekend. I’m actually shocked how I didn’t get it. His symptoms were the worst when he was on work travel (I guess good thing he was away from me), and coming home 5days later he tested, thinking it would just be a cold but he was positive. He’s been in Covid prison isolating in our spare bedroom since. After almost 4 years it finally happened. Let’s hope I narrowly escaped this time but it’s very nerve wracking.
