I have been taking Renadyl for a little while now. I had been buying it at Amazon or Walmart. Suddenly it is not available on Amazon or at Walmart. Does anyone know where else to buy Renadyl or another probiotic that you can take with CKD. Thank you

Go to Renadyl.com for more info. According to their website, they have had problems keeping it in stock, and are only selling a 3 months supply at the moment from their site. I take it also, so I’m glad you inquired. Thanks!
I got the same response as Curious CKD from Renadyl. They are restricting to three months and price has increased. Can either of you say if it has been helpful on your bloods results?
I can’t say it’s making a difference in lab reports, because some tests change each time. Digestively, I believe Renadyl has made a difference, as far as no burping, feeling bloated, etc. I may be finding another brand that isn’t so expensive. $50 something a month is not something I can get used to, with prices currently rising on everything else that we have to purchase.
Besides the gastro issues youve listed, have you found renal benefits too? Several good reports eg below ref renadyl. Also did you try probiotics in diet alone?
Well, my GFR has been stable at 25 since 2019, and my potassium, phosphorus and sodium are within the norm, although my potassium ran a little bit high once or twice, when I had covid. I have also been taking Farxiga for almost two years now, and that has helped me stabilize. The renal panel remains about the same, even if a couple of area are higher, but the lipids and inflammation from arthritis, etc., are high. Plus, I have other things to contend with as well, so it’s difficult to answer your question directly.
I have 2-3 others I can send indicating ckd probiotic benefit. It's not part of my mum's normal protocol yet unless she's had to have antibiotics. Have you used/found benefit?
Thank you both Curious CKD and Yankees28 for your replies. Good to hear both of your results have been stable. I have found it helps me digestively too. Will be having bloods done in a few weeks and will have been on Renadyl for three months by then. I have just ordered a further three months supply - expensive at $165 plus $111 shipping
Look up the exact ingredients and you can come up with something either singularly or a combination of different products. Alternatively contact the company if still in business.
You can go to renadyl.com. Alternatively, to the manufacturer site at kibowbiotech.com/. However, in checking today, on today, 2/15/24 they're sold out.
FYI: I just started taking Renadyl two months ago to try it out. My RD recommended it. Before using this, I was taking another Probiotic I found at Amazon: 21st Century Acidophilus Probiotic Blend Capsules, 150-Count (Pack of 2) for about $21.00 for the two pack. It is cheaper and doesn't have as many of the good bacteria as Renadyl does, but my eGFR though low at 13 -15 has held steady around this number for two years now. Of course, I don't know if it is the Probiotic and the Vegan diet I've been eating that has held my low eGFR steady or just because. I just had my three month lab work done today and I am curious to see if Renadyl made a better difference for me than the other Probiotic. I shall let you know. If Renadyl shows an improvement, I'll stay on it unless I can't find it. If not, I'll go back to the other Probiotic. I wish you all the best of health on you CKD journey.
Renadyl did nothing for me. Diet and water is the only thing that is guaranteed to work. I was vey sick 2 years ago which caused me to have a eGFR of 11. Talk in the hospital was about dialysis. Well in two years I have slowly gotten it up to 58. Water is a big part of to keep you kidneys filtering.
You are very welcome. It's not easy. It's very hard work but I know I have to do it to stay off of dialysis and for that matter dying. Good luck, you can do it. By the way I am 73 and not ready to kick the bucket yet.👍
