This would be an enormous advantage for kidney patients that may eliminate dialysis. Hope this becomes a prescribed medication soon!

Very Promising Med for CKD!
Very interesting 👌
But you wont need it (with likely side effects etc if developed) based on your recent progress, will you? healthunlocked.com/early-ck...
And I believe that others should have a similar mindset that a nutrition & lifestyle approach is best for ckd, as for many/most other diseases.
HisLittleOne, THANK YOU for this information!! I have elevated levels of aldosterone and am thought to have primary hyperaldosteronism. I was offered an evaluation for surgery, but declined because my blood pressure has been well controlled. HOWEVER, the references from this publication state that high levels of aldosterone damage the kidney INDEPENDENT of its effect on blood pressure.
I am 25 months out from a kidney transplant and my eGFR is 31, only 2 ml/min above Stage 4 kidney disease. We are thinking that this is from the tacrolimus used for my immunosuppression and I am switching to belatacept, but now I am wondering whether it’s the high levels of aldosterone.
Unfortunately, the new drug is only in a Stage 2 study, so it will be years before it is approved and available. I will make an appointment with the endocrinologists to look into possible surgery.
Again, thank you for bringing this to my attention! 😊
