I read on line that some teas (green, nettle, hibiscus, hawthorn) are good for kidney/HBP.
Have you tried this?

HI, I drink hibiscus tea almost every day. It is supposed to be good for many things, but I also just like it. It was recommended by a doctor.
None are particularly great for CKD. Look up the research.
I am also stage 4 CKD and drink tea. What I have been told is its ok to drink it now, but post transplant only black tea is ok.
Hi, I am stage 5, and at night I need something hot for my cough, and I dont want caffeine, so I drink white tea with a bit of honey in it. I did read an article on 7 teas beneficial for kidneys, and the only one I would consider is the ginger tea. I asked my Neph about these and he said stay away from anything referred to as a kidney cleanse! Dangerous and a waste of money. And some of those 7 teas had too much potassium which stage 5 should avoid. Some of these 7 teas also had diuretic which you may or may not want.
I bought all those teas on Amazon except Hawthorn doesn't have 100 tea bags sale. I'll have to add that to my collection. Hibiscus, Dandelion and nettle tea acts like a diuretic for me. I have to drink plenty of water because It runs to the restroom. I don't take any blood pressure med any more but I still check my blood pressure daily just in case it may go up. 👍
When I was going to the dialysis clinic, one of the old timer nurses told me that Yerba Mate tea is excellent for health. I bought a bag of the tea bags and used a couple times but I didn't get into the habit of making it so that went to the wayside. Therefore, I cannot personally report on it's effects but you may want to read about it and see what you think. I just Googled it and there are plenty of positive articles on it.
