Metabolic treatment for kidney failure
HI,
I could not find anything on this. Please give us more information. Do you mean metabolic acidosis?
This will give you some idea: drleila.com/services/metabo...
YIKES.... I looked at this site. Although there is some interesting ideas there, this program is NOT for kidney health. To start with this jumped out at me:"Alfalfa is a “green” that raises sodium and potassium in an equal ratio. Not at all good for kidney health. The consumption of vitamins such as D can also become toxic. DHEA can raise blood pressure.
Please be careful with "miracle cures" such as these. If you want to do something with diet, get on a renal diet. There is a ton of evidence based research on the benefits of a renal diet for kidney patients. The earlier you start on a renal diet, the better.
Just curious where you heard that you can prevent off dialysis with this. If you need dialysis, talk with a qualified clinical professional.

I’ve read about this before, but while your article does have some interesting theories I find it a little skeptical for myself to even attempt to try it. You see the kidneys are our filters, every thing we ingest must be processed through them. If they don’t work properly failure or decrease functionality is the result. Now while changing your diet, can & often does slow the progression down, you will still have the same end result. But to do this without a physicians care seems very scary. Will they run the blood tests to monitor your renal function, are they working hand in hand with your nephrologist or your hospital, wil your insurance cover their costs?? I could think of a million questions, but it comes down to - do you trust them enough to put your life into their hands????
I have no options as I am on dialysis and there is no donor. So, I am going ahead with this. I will update if I see any benefits. There are minimal side effects though. Not even 10 percentage compared to immunosuppressants.
My father is age67, 8days before doctor inform me about s creatinine 2.1,i am worry about him, so hav u gone through metabolic treatment
Firstly if you've heard it is "proving better than dialysis" I'd love to see the scientific studies proving this. Secondly, if it really is as good as all that dialysis patients would be rioting to get this treatment *instead* of doing dialysis. If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is. Chronic kidney disease as a general rule cannot be reversed once you've hit dialysis (stage 5). Where do you live and what type dialysis do you currently receive/do? Blessings #kindredkidneys
