Everyones protein intake should be set by both your nephrologist and renal dietitian. What have they told you?

Happy New Year Mr K. Agree with your post. Ones diet also can be modified by Doctor depending on blood work results.

I am also CKD stage 4 , non dialysis, GFR15 and have never had any mention of protein or a renal dietitian. Just told to follow DASH diet. My blood pressure is under control now since quitting smoking 9 months ago and I am on no blood pressure medications since November. I have cut back on sodium intake but cheat now and then.

Thanks for your reply. I never smoked and I snot on BP med, however I do have a high HR mostly b/w 80- 90s and at times my dx is high. I take a vit D daily. I was taking vit B for a low blood count.
