Welcome to this community!
Do you have access to a renal dietician? If not I think you can access a renal dietitian through the NKF. Your diet will need to be individualized to meet your specific needs based on your specific lab data.
I have to follow a low potassium (2000 mg daily) and low fluid (60 fluid ounces daily) diet. I'm also a diabetic so have to agree to the carb requirements my dietician has set for that as well. My nephrologist does not want me on s low protein diet although it is clear that many people participating in this online community have been given protein restrictions too.
Anyway, the main thing is to meet with a renal dietician for guidance regarding your specific dietary needs. Once you get your daily targets for carbs, potassium, phosphorous, sodium, and protein there are numerous web sites with "renal-friendly" menus so you can start pulling meals together for yourself.

Thank you MAB1953!! i will assk my physician to refer me to a renal dietician. Following internet diets sometimes you get contradictory information which ends up confusing you even more. Will definitely take up your advise
I know--these dietary restrictions are really a challenge. Now that I've finally gotten the rules down for my kidneys I'm able to navigate it fairly effectively. But it was pretty overwhelming at first.
