Fit is fun Club: week from April 27th to May 3rd, 2020

Hello everyone and welcome to the Fit is Fun Club!

Here we share about our exercise achievements from last week and our proposed goals for this coming week.

If you are used to post photos please feel free to post as many as you wish. (You have to do a separate post, then copy and paste the link to your reply here).

I know exercising during this Corona crisis can be quite challenging! Exercise at home is great, so is running or... if you’re lucky enough, cycling.

Please share with us how you manage to exercise during this lockdown!

This week, I didn’t do much: I just ran twice for 30 minutes but that was all. I am homeschooling my 3 children at the moment and most of the time I’m just exhausted...

I’ll be happy to read all about your achievements and goals this week! I wish you all a good week and good health!!🍀🌈😊

Hi I went out for my first proper run/power walk this year. I went 5km in 49 minutes and felt fantastic afterwards! I did a moderate 5k walk last weekend raising over £1800 for Refuge with colleagues and did a short run round the block mid week in preparation for a longer run session. For someone who is a size 20 it shows that you can get fitter at any size and no one judged me in my Lycra and lots of runners said hello as they passed me 😁

I’m on a Virtual Runner V Day challenge this week - total distance 4-10 May then I submit online and a medal arrives in the post. 20% goes to charity.

Good morning Madameirir and thanks for hosting!!

Not bad your exercises this week considering the situation.

Last week I managed a workout every day but one and an average of more than 6000 steps 👏👏👏 thats a record for the lockdown.

This week we are allowed to go outside for individual exercise or walk so i went our for a walk on Sunday evening but there were too many people. I arrived home a little tired -my knees specially - after many weeks of little exercise-

My plan for this week is to go outside everyother day, go for a walk the first days and later to begin (again) slowly with the runs, probably i Will use the coach to 5 program again since i stopped running 3 months ago!!

Good luck and good exercise!!

Afternoon Hidden and thank you for hosting this week Fit is Fun. Well last week my goals were 3 sessions of Wii Zumba and achieve Zumbathgn level which I managed- reached Zumbathon level yesterday:)

I also planned to achieve 7500steps/day or 52500 steps over the week- managed 6/7 days to reach that goal and my weekly total was 72509 so did very well on the 6 days I was over the 7500!

My goal this week is 7500 steps/ day or 52500 steps/week and since I am working nights at the beginning and end of the week I will only be able to manage 2 Wii zumba sessions since working 4 long days and 2 of them are nights:( I was going to increase my daily steps but it takes me a while to recover from nights so they are usually slob days:)

in reply to RG07

Wow! You did great last week! And nice plan for next week!! Working nights must be really hard!! Have a nice week!🌈🍀😊

Hello Madameirir and thank you for hosting and the stunning photograph 😊

I’m still walking most days, aiming for one or two longer walks each week, (5k minimum) and getting fitter and faster. I got distracted on Wednesday (see here healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... ) so it was a long walk time wise but not especially long distance wise 😂

But I also managed a 10k indoor cycle, first in ages, which felt really good. And two yoga sessions with extra strength, so all in all a good week. I can actually feel my leg strength building, especially when going up hills

So all is good here, long may the sunshine last 😊

Good evening Hidden what a lovely photo.

This week I walked for 70km , Active 10 app says that 265 of the 406 minutes I walked were brisk.

Hello, Madameirir, and thanks for hosting :)

My exercise is walking. I had a couple of "down" days last week and didn't move out of the house, which is very counterproductive as my mood is always lifted when I do get out.

Here's a collage of pics taken during the week healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... My walking total was 373 mins, with 259 of them being brisk, according to Active10.

Wishing everyone the best week possible :)

I’ve had a difficult week emotionally with my sister having cancer tumours removed on Tuesday - it was delayed twice due to covid-19. I relived comfort eating and re-found my love of chocolate on a very large level which lasted 5 days. (haven’t eaten milk chocolate for at least 2 years)

But moving forwards and hopefully improvements are ahead...

hoping everyone has had a good week 👍🏽

This weeks fitbit says:

45,506 steps x .00075 = 34 km’s

292 + 640 = 938 minutes

Cheering us all on 🎉🎉🎉
